Indiana's fastest-growing town means almost entirely new plumbing
Whitestown was laid out in 1851 along the Indianapolis & Lafayette Railroad but stayed a farm settlement of well under 1,000 people for most of its history. Since 2010 it has been the fastest-growing municipality in Indiana, with population more than tripling between the 2010 and 2020 census counts and reaching roughly 11,276 by 2023 — so unlike Zionsville or Lebanon, almost none of the plumbing calls here trace to century-old pipe.
Anson's planned-community growth changes what gets installed
Much of that growth is concentrated in Anson, the master-planned community that broke ground in 2005, stalled during the Great Recession, and has grown steadily since 2011 — new-construction work there is about matching fixture counts and supply capacity to builder specifications rather than diagnosing old galvanized or lead pipe.
